Kansas Governor Signs Bill Nullifying Gun Control

Kansas Governor Signs Bill Nullifying Gun Control: Even before the vote on new federal gun laws was moved up from April 18 to April 17, Kansas Governor Sam Brownback had put a protection for Kansans into place by signing a bill that nullifies new federal gun control within the borders of Kansas.

According to "The Second Amendment Protection Act," as the bill is called, the 2nd Amendment is locked in as understood in 1861--and any law that would have been viewed as a violation of the 2nd Amendment in that year will be viewed as a violation in 2013.

No arrests in Boston Marathon bombing investigation — RT USA

No arrests in Boston Marathon bombing investigation — RT USA: Despite multiple media reports on the alleged arrest in the Boston Marathon bombing investigation, the FBI and local authorities confirm that no suspect has been detained.

CNN reported that a suspect was apprehended at 1:45 p.m. local time when journalist John King said both a federal source and a Boston law enforcement source confirmed the news. Reporter Fran Townsend then added over the phone that “there is an arrest that has been made in the Boston bombing case based off of two independent videos.”

Pushing the pandemic: FDA criminalizes secret Chinese medicine formula that blocks bird flu

Pushing the pandemic: FDA criminalizes secret Chinese medicine formula that blocks bird flu: (NaturalNews) A bird flu pandemic has been sparked in China, where 60 people have so far been infected and 13 have died from various new strains of bird flu (including H7N9). Across China and Taiwan, people are in a panic over the spread of bird flu, and the media there is reporting widespread concern that this may be the beginning of the next global pandemic.

A Chinese Air Force General has publicly announced the bird flu is a "bio bomb" weapon launched by the USA, but you won't find that reported in the mainstream media. In fact, the fake media is hardly reporting on this bird flu outbreak at all -- and that's because there is no vaccine to hype yet.

Once a bird flu vaccine is available that claims to target the new strains, all the scare tactics will be unleashed by the CDC, CNN, MSNBC and other usual suspects.

Australia closely monitoring Manning prosecution

Australia closely monitoring Manning prosecution: Foreign Minister Bob Carr says the idea the United States wishes to extradite Julian Assange is “sheer fantasy”. Despite this, the Australian embassy in Washington has continued to closely monitor the prosecution of US Army private Bradley Manning for leaking to the WikiLeaks publisher.

An Australian diplomatic cable released to Fairfax Media under freedom of information law shows an Australian embassy staffer attended the pre-trial hearing at Fort Meade Maryland on February 27-28 at which private Manning pleaded guilty to leaking thousands of secret documents to WikiLeaks. The Australian embassy has been the only foreign embassy in Washington to regularly attend hearings in the Manning case.

NRA’s A-Rated Senators Caving on Gun Control

NRA’s A-Rated Senators Caving on Gun Control: With S. 649 likely Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's last chance to pass gun control legislation in this session, Senator John Manchin (D-W.Va.) has been working hard to bring the National Rifle Association into the discussion on how to make the bill palatable to those opposed to the background-checks. On the other hand, Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.) has been working on an effort to stop the legislation by filibustering it.

But Paul's effort was thwarted on April 11 when the Senate invoked cloture by a 68-to-31 vote (8 more "yea" votes than needed to invoke cloture), allowing the bill to proceed. Shortly before the vote, Senators Paul, Mike Lee (R-UT), and Ted Cruz (R-TX) released a joint statement saying, "The effort to push through legislation that no one had read highlights one of the primary reasons we announced our intention to force a 60 vote threshold."

Alaska Legislature Passes Bill to Nullify Federal Gun Grab

Alaska Legislature Passes Bill to Nullify Federal Gun Grab: Lawmakers in the Last Frontier have passed a bill protecting the right of their citizens to keep and bear arms from federal infringement. Both houses of the Alaska state legislature approved HB 69 and the act now only lacks the governor’s signature before it becomes state law.

Although part of the measure was amended somewhat by the state senate — a provision that would have charged federal agents with a felony if they attempted to enforce federal gun grabs within state borders — the bill remains a bold statement of state sovereignty and resistance to federal plans to disarm civilians.

Specifically, the act forbids “state and municipal agencies from using assets to implement or aid in the implementation of the requirements of certain federal statutes, regulations, rules, and orders that are applied to infringe on a person's right to bear arms.”

Idaho Supports Fourth Amendment, Enacts Drone Restrictions

Idaho Supports Fourth Amendment, Enacts Drone Restrictions: Another state is stepping in and shielding its citizens from constant surveillance by the government or law enforcement.

On April 11, Idaho Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter signed into law the “Preserving Freedom From Unwanted Surveillance Act,” an act reinforcing the Fourth Amendment’s guarantee of “the right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures.”

The law amends the Idaho code, placing new restrictions on the use of drones by government or law enforcement, particularly when it comes to the gathering of evidence and surveillance of private property.
